Biodalia

Biodalia has been operative since 1991. Starting as a partnership of Zohar Dalia and a foreign investor, it specialized primarily in microbial bio-pesticides.

Later on Zohar Dalia gained control of Biodalia and extended its activity to contract manufacturing of various fermentation products. In parallel, it continued in production and development of its own products. One of the products developed has been an industrial wastewater bio-treatment process, based on original solutions and knowledge. The biopesticide products were considerably upgraded; new fermentation capabilities were introduced.

At the beginning of 2007, Biodalia Technologies has signed a shareholder partnership agreement with Rakuto Kasei (Israel) Ltd. and Zohar Dalia. The new partnership strengthened the R&D and marketing abilities of the company. New in-house products and technologies, mainly in the food and cosmetics sectors, are under development.

On October 2007, Rakuto Kasei (Israel) Ltd. bought the entire shares of Zohar Dalia. Biodalia Microbiological Technologies is now fully owned by Rakuto Kasei.

Microbiological Technologies

The core business of Biodalia is in industrial biotechnology. It manufactures and markets Bacillus thuringiensis bioinsecticides for agriculture and for Mosquitoes control and is active in contract manufacturing of biochemicals by fermentation, industrial bioprocess development and R&D. It is the only company in Israel that supplies industrial scale services of multi-purpose contract fermentations.

R&D of new biochemicals for food, cosmetics and agriculture is under way, in cooperation with Israeli scientists. The products focus in the wine, beverage and dairy industries.

Our business concept involves technology development and transfer, based on more than 15 years of experience in bioprocess development and fermentation plant operation.

Biodalia is 9001:2000 and IQNet certified and has kosher certification.

Another field of activity is industrial wastewater biotreatment, based on a proprietary innovative technology (patented) for industrial biotreatment solutions.
